In April, we were excited to share initial findings from our user research into potential users of the Natural Environment Research Council’s forthcoming Digital Solutions Hub.
This research involved workshops across the UK, speaking with nearly 100 people with an interest in working with environmental data. We asked about what they need from environmental data, how they work with this data, and the challenges they face along the way. We are excited to be working on this project as it holds the potential to open up a huge body of data to a wider audience.
The National Environment Research Council (NERC) and the University of Manchester (who we are working with) have chosen to put user research at the heart of their approach to doing this.At this public online event we shared back what we’ve learnt so far, and created space for attendees to share feedback on these findings. The event was specifically promoted towards people who’d attended workshops or expressed interest in this research. We had over 40 people turn up, and it was great to hear their feedback.
You can view a recording of the event on Vimeo or view online the slides used and results from the Menti polls we ran.
