Our Streets Chorlton – exploring traffic in Chorlton
October 20, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm BST
As part of Our Streets Chorlton, Open Data Manchester has been carrying out data monitoring and collection, including local air-quality measurements and traffic surveys.
Some of this data has come from external sources such as Transport for Greater Manchester or Manchester Urban Observatory, but much has come from the Chorlton community itself, including road-side traffic surveys, a network of automatic traffic counters and air-quality sensors.
Join us for a friendly and informal chat where we’ll explore some of the data about Chorlton that we’ve been gathering and exploring, what it tells us (and, perhaps, what it doesn’t).
Each month we’ll explore some different information, present some recent data and then have plenty of time to chat and ask any questions.
In this session, we’ll take a look at some of the results of the manual traffic counts carried out on Burrows Avenue by our volunteer team of Data Champions.
These sessions are open to everyone – whether you’ve taken part in the Our Streets Chorlton project or not, whether you live locally or elsewhere, whether you’re a data expert or simply interested in finding out a bit more about where you live.
Register for a free ticket to this hour-long session here.
